About
Chris Wright
Born and raised in Nottingham, England, Chris splits his time between teaching in a primary school, visiting other schools to deliver Viking Experience Days and writing children's fiction. He was inspired to write his Viking Saga series when he noticed the lack of options schools had for good reading books when teaching about the vikings, especially books that portrayed a realistic view of what their lives were like. Having always written stories for his own

enjoyment, he decided to put his pen (or laptop) to work on a children's viking story that would be fun and thrilling but also true to real life in the Ancient Norse world.
Chris is continuing to write The Viking Saga, with the next instalment, Ragnarok, coming soon, in which Chester and Freya will adventure into the dangerous world of Norse Mythology. After that, if they survive, perhaps new worlds and times await them!
Outside of writing, in his spare time, Chris enjoys reading, board games and football. He is a season ticket holder at Nottingham Forest FC, a black belt in taekwondo (though he hasn't practiced for a while) and a twin. Some of his favourite children's authors include Philip Pullman, J.K. Rowling, Roald Dahl, Anthony Horowitz and Tom Fletcher. In more grown up fiction, he enjoys the works - among others - of Andy Weir, George R. R. Martin, Terry Pratchett, Scott Lynch, Stephen King and his own father (Keith Wright) and brother (Andy Wright).
